Britney Spears

I do not think that people should not be making fun of Britney Spears' body image, becuase no bodies body is perfect. Plus she has had two kids so she was probably under alot of stress and on top of all that her and her husband Kevin Federline aka "K-Fed" got a divorce.

The news now a days just makes so much stuff up it is not funny, I saw a picture in a magazine of Britney Spears and it showed her having a double chin and her face was all puffy and looked fatter than usual, and it said something like "Britney Spears back at it again," i believe, but it looked like it was totally photoshoped, and in the pictures that show her stomach much bigger then it is in the photo i have above, you can tell that the photo has been altered, because if you look close enoguh you will see discolouration.

We all heard about Chris Crocker and his leave Britney Alone video, and though he is right in most of his rant. For example when he said something about her husband Kevin Federline, it was him who got her addicted to all the drugs and alcohol so why would he get the kids? He was the one who said that he just wanted money and he will not bug about the kids, but what does he do? He comes out saying that Britney is an unfit mother and should not be allowed to be around the kids again. im not saying that it is right to do alcohol and drugs when a mother, but you should take into consideration that he probably is doing the exact same things as Britney but is just more secretive about it.
Britney Spears is now up on charges for child abuse on her children. This is just another way for Kevin Federline to just cut off Britney’s visitations to the kids. If you have ever heard a parent say that they have never made a mistake with their children you have then just witnessed a big liar!

Girlfriend: plagiarism, inspiration or coincidence?

Honestly, I personally do not believe that Avril has plagiarized, because doesn’t it say that you are allowed to take 30 seconds or 10% which ever is less? She did not take either 30 seconds or 10 %, but I can see where they said that she took the heart and soul out of the other song. I know I have never heard of the Rubinoos, but I do not know about other people. The catch phrase everybody knows from her song “Girlfriend” is “hey, hey, you, you, I don’t like your girlfriend.” That is taking the heart and soul out of the song “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend," by the Rubinoos, which is “hey, hey, you, you, I wanna be your boyfriend.”

Though, it also states that whatever you take that is less than 30 seconds or 10%, you can not make anymore money than the original owner did, and Avril Lavigne did make more money especially on that one catch phrase which brought everybody to buy the c.d. Though the Ramones have a song similar to theirs why would they not also go after them? Or why wouldn’t they go after the Rolling stones for their remake of the song? Both sound pretty similar, but why just go after Avril Lavigne? Would it because she got the most money out of the portion of the song that was taken? So they thought they would get more than the other two.

Exploitation or Adaption? Gwen Sefani and the Harajuku Girls

The Harajuku girl’s are teenagers from Harajuku, Tokyo, Japan. The way Gwen Stefani shows the Harajuku Girls maybe the way she sees them as, and so what if she has altered them a little bit, it isn’t hurting anybody. So there looks are different then the Harajuku Girls in Japan but they all do not dress the same, some kinds of harajuku girls may be gothic lolita, gothic maid, Wamono, Decora, Second-Hand Fashion, and cyber fashion. The Harajuku girls did not originate from there they first were in England and then Japan adapted them in to their own culture, but do u hear anybody picking at them? No. Though people may think that Gwen Stefani is torching them she really isn’t, in the one music video she is complimenting them, and they were the ones who signed the contract saying that they would act like dolls, they new that they were not going to be able to speak.

Margaret Cho said, “I think it is totally acceptable to enjoy the Harajuku girls, because there are not that many other Asian people out there in the media really, so we have to take whatever we can get.” Recently myself and two other people were looking through Seventeen Magazine issue May 2007 it had 157 pages, and we found out that 84% of the people in the ads were Caucasian, and 0.5% were Asian, so that just goes to show we do not see many Asians in movies and hit TV shows now a days.

MiHi Ahn said, “Four Harajuku girls, or rather, Stefani's interpretation of Tokyo street fashion in the Harajuku district.” Though I may not agree with what MiHi Ahn said but many other people may think that she is just interpreting the Harajuku style.
