Dixie Chicks Stand Up!

We all remember the day when Natalie Maines said “we are ashamed that the president of the United States of America is from Texas.” They have gotten so much grief for saying that little sentence, but did Pink get that much grief when she wrote her song? Did Kanye get grief when he spoke out? Why was it only the Dixie Chicks who got all the grief?

Nobody has the write to go ahead and say that they are the dumbest bimbos and that they are foolish women, who deserved to be, slapped around especially media personalities. What ever happened to freedom of speech? She did not hurt anybody from saying what she said.

How could something that small that Natalie said push people so over the edge that they would send threats and boycott their songs, or boycott the radio stations that have been playing their songs.

Why didn’t Kanye’s statement back fire on him, his was more racial then Natalie’s, Natalie’s statement was nothing, but Kanye’s statement on how "George Bush doesn't care about black people," how would that not effect the world and how they looked at Kanye and what Natalie said “we are ashamed that the president of the united states comes from Texas,” now there is a big difference there!
